Each supplier who has users registered on the Supplier.intel.com
site must have an Employee Validation Manager (EVM) in place to approve
application access requests from that company's users. The EVM is an important
role that allows you to validate that the users are valid employees of
your company and should have access to the applications they are requesting.
The EVM role in the Web Suite Lite registration
process allows greater flexibility in data management for Intel suppliers.
For suppliers who have low volume data needs with Intel and who only require
access to Web PO, Web Invoice, Payment Tracker, and the Routing Guide, Web Suite Lite is
the perfect solution to your registration needs.
To become an EVM, you as a supplier user
must go to the registration home page and click the Become an
Employee Validation Manager for your company link. Carefully read
the roles and responsibilities on the following page. If you are comfortable
accepting the roles and responsibilities, then click the button to accept
the role. If you are NOT comfortable, you should decline and work within
your company or department to find the appropriate person for this role.
Once you accept this role, an Intel employee will validate that you are
an employee of your company. When that is done, you will then be given
the role of EVM and its accompanying responsibilities and tool access.
An Employee Validation Manager (EVM) is responsible for the
following items:
- Approving or rejecting new user requests for access to applications
on Supplier.intel.com
- Revoking user access when accounts are no longer needed or wanted
- Quarterly audits to ensure that user lists are up to date
This is a critical role with regard to security. Depending upon the number
of people in your organization who are currently registered on Supplier.intel.com,
this role may require a great deal of effort on your part. Please consider
the time commitment before accepting this role. However, to assist you
as EVM, additional EVMs can be appointed to distribute the workload.
Note:
Each company doing business with Intel through
the Supplier.intel.com web site will need to have an EVM in place. If
you do not, supplier users with access to your company's information through
Intel's tools may be deactivated until an EVM is put in place. This role
is an important part of Intel's efforts to keep your company's data secure.
